Car Parks is a collection of large-format airbrush drawings of urban environments made while James Jarvis was at art college in Brighton in the early 90s.

James Jarvis (London, 1970) is a British graphic artist, illustrator and toy designer, a pioneer of the soft vinyl toy revolution. Beginning as an illustrator for Slam City Skates, Holmes and Silas, Jarvis now creates characters at his own company, Amos Toys, each character with its own personality and background world.

Jarvis studied illustration at the University of Brighton and the Royal College of Art, graduating in 1995. As a freelance artist, Jarvis has created work for electronic powerhouses such as Sony and Nokia as well as contributed to numerous different international publications such as The Face and Relax. Jarvis has also done a number of art book projects, the World of Pain comic book series, as well as exhibited his work with independent shows, amongst others at the Parco Gallery in Tokyo.
