Patricia Bucher studied Fine Arts in Zurich, New York, and Basel. She is working as an artist since 2001, and lives and works in Zurich and Berlin. She has received numerous grants and awards. In the last few years Patricia Bucher has created an extensive body of work that deals with construction, signs, semantics and language. Within a framework she operates with reciprocal references. Thus she has developed a complex system of signs. Her pictures are sometimes purely graphical or emblematic, sometimes they have got a mythical aura, with small anecdotes that appear.

She has shown her work in solo exhibitions at Kunsthalle Arbon, Kunsthaus Grenchen, Simultanhalle Cologne, among others. She has been participating in group exhibitions at Spencer Brownstone Gallery in New York, at Stadtmuseum Berlin, at Kunsthalle Zurich, etc. Her work is represented in various collections.
