Kazunari Hattori, born in Tokyo in 1964, is an artistic director and graphic designer. He graduated with a degree in design from the Tokyo University of Fine Arts. In 1998, he joined the Light Publicity Company, which he left in 2011 to create his own studio. His best-known work as an artistic director in the realm of advertising have been for Kewpie and Kirin. In the publishing realm, he has been artistic director of magazines Ryukotsushin (2002-2004) and here and there. He has designed many publications, including the Petit Royal series of French-Japanese dictionaries for Obunsha Editions (1997) and exhibition catalogues, including Visions of Constructivism for the Metropolitan Teien Art Museum in Tokyo.

Kazunari Hattori won awards by the Japanese Graphic Designer Association (JAGDA) Award in 2000, the Tokyo ADC (Tokyo Art Director Club) in 1999, 2000 and 2001, and the Kamekura Yusaku Award in 2004. He is a member of the Alliance graphique internationale (AGI).
