Nieves is pleased to present the premiere of HUMANS 02 by Mike Mills in Zurich and Milan. “I hope the things I make can grow on people over time. The reason for Mills to start the HUMANS project was to make something hopefully as thoughtful as art but that you can live with it in your everyday life. What matters to Mills when designing HUMANS is how the fabrics, shirts, bags, ribbons and their graphics are going to interact with people in their everyday lives. HUMANS is not just another ordinary graphic project or clothing label, but rather a place to show ideas and a way of looking at the world. HUMANS by Mike Mills, his first solo concept design project, was launched with an oddly shaped window installation and a store space in Japan in 2004. Now, HUMANS is happily pursuing a nomadic endeavour. It will change the form, way of presentation, and will pop up in different situations worldwide.
